About us
Welcome to Countryside Canoes.
We are a family run business and we hire out Canadian Canoes on the Lancaster Canal. We are based in the busy little village of Bilsborrow nestled in between Garstang and Preston in Lancashire.
Discover the scenic Lancaster Canal in one of our Canadian Canoes, suitable for complete beginners and experienced paddlers. Our Canadian Canoes are 3 seater and the maximum weight per canoe is 300kg. Each canoe has a main seat with a back rest at the back and front and then a bench seat in the middle and we have double and single paddles available for all passengers. We have chosen these Canadian Canoes for their stability, quality and most of all comfort.
Advance booking required through Countryside Canoes. There will be a short safety briefing and instructions for all participants. All participants must be present at the safety briefing.
Free parking on site.
Bilsborrow
Bilsborrow has lots to do & see so why not make a full day of it and book in to one of our local eateries for some fantastic food/drinks once you have finished your day on the canal. We are situated in close proximity to two fantastic canalside pubs, Guys Thatched Hamlet/Owd Nells and The White Bull.
Find Us
Our car park is located next to Olde Duncombe House B&B, Barton, PR3 0RE (we share the car park), opposite the village bowling green and Roebuck Pub. Once you have parked head up the slope to the canal and turn left where you will see the canoes. If the weather is looking terrible we are happy to discuss changing your booking to a different date.
